What a wonderful, fantastic, compasionate woman, to pay for the drugs for a British bowel cancer sufferer who was faced with having to sell her home to receive treatment that the National Health service wouldn't pay for.
In an ideal world no one should have to come forward and volunteer to do this. The government should cover all medical costs. The reality however is far from this.
What a pity more people with unlimited funds don't come forward and help an individual to receive life saving treatment.
I haven't read any of Patricia Cornwalls books but will certainly now be on the look out for them.
On behalf of all cancer patients a great big THANKYOU goes to Patricia.

That's amazing. She has had a rough time in the past with the media. I was quite a fan a while back - read most of her books but they got a bit silly so stopped. That is so brilliant though that she did this.
I love the woman anyway

..... if anyone starts to read her after this topic, please only read the Kay Scarpetta ones or you will not like her as the others are silly.
If you watch Miranda Holden (have I got the right name there?) on the tv where she is a detective pathologist, most of those stories are based on Patricial Cornwell.

all the Kay Scarpetta books and they are great, if you do start to read them make sure you read them from the start otherwise they could get a bit confusing

I think but maybe someone could check for me that the order you need to buy them in is
POSTMORTEM
BODY OF EVIDENCE
ALL THAT REMAINS
CRUEL AND UNUSUAL
THE BODY FARM
FROM POTTER'S FIELD
CAUSE OF DEATH
UNNATURAL EXPOSURE
POINT OF ORIGIN
BLACK NOTICE
I am sure I may have missed some out. But well worth reading.

Loved the Scarpetta books...I started reading them and by total coincidence read the first couple in the right order, then bought a couple to take on hols and was totally confused and one gave the game away about another I hadn't then read!
Oh well!
Love Caz x
You had most of them Joy!

Have printed of the list and will now start looking for them. It is great to have them in the right order. There is nothing more infuriating than reading books out of sequence

I am looking for them as well

I'm looking forward to the new book. Perhaps I should start a countdown! LOL
The last book took a little getting used to as it was the first in the series written in the third person.
