These discussion forums are great but I'd also like to be able to have interactive chat. I'd particularly like this for overnight when the insomnia kicks in. It'd be great to just be able to connect with others who happen to be awake and from the "insomnia" topic there seem to be quite a few of us. I've investigated chat rooms on breast cancer sites quite extensively. All the chat rooms I've found have been American and I'd really like to chat with people closer to home (i.e. in the UK). There are quite a few UK sites with chat rooms but when I've investigated them they all turn out to be discussion boards where you post stuff, like this forum, rather than actual online interactive chat. It's almost as if the UK hasn't quite caught on to the difference between "chat rooms" and "bulletin boards". Has anyone else found a good UK breast cancer chat room?

What about trying the chat room on the site Mary set up -www.msnusers.com/hereforoneanother. There is a chat room option on there where a few of us from the BCC site log into on Monday and Thursday evenings at 8.00p.m. You could always try logging in at other times and see if anyone is there, and at least it will only be the ladies from BCC.

I should have mentioned you have to become a member of Hereforoneanother to get into the chat room. Can't remember if this is instant or if it may take up to 48 hours. You just follow the on-screen instructions on how to join. Pat

Some of us have down loaded MSN messanger and know when each other our on line and send instant messages.... to each other. I believe the information for this is in the (Coffee Room) Mary l959 started this for us and it really is great to message each other. I will search for the information and bring it to the top of the forum.

I agree chat rooms are great for actual 'real time' chat.
Msn is good, but I belong to a site caled femail.co.uk they have a chat room which is open 24/7.
Obviously you have to become a member, as here, but it is a great site.
Two years ago I initiated a cancer message board, which has gone from strength to strength.
I am not promoting this web site apologies if it seems that way. Just saying there is a chat room there that anyone might like to use.
