Hi (sorry about the 1st message pressed wrong button by mistake!)

I have been on Tamoxifen since I was dx in 2006. Then on my follow-up last April I was told I had bc in my other breast. My question is that since taking Tamoxifen I have suffered no side-effects whatsoever, and although this appears to be a good thing I'm left wondering if it is working.

I have asked my onc and she just says of course it is, but I have yet to meet anyone who doesn't experience any symptons or side-effects at all. When I was diagnosed for the second time my consultant advised me to change to another drug, but my oncologist insists there isn't one as good at Tamoxifen as I haven't gone through the mnopause.

Has anyone else experienced no side-effects on Tamoxifen?

    Many thanks.

    Lesley

Sorry to hear about the bc in your other breast, Lesley. Being premeno, I think tamoxifen is the only drug suitable for you.

No side-effects of tamoxifen for me either, but I am postmeno (didn't fancy arimidex). Incidentally, I had a very easy menopause, so maybe you are destined to have the same.

I am two years out and NED.

    Hi there,

Having no side effects is fantastic !!! Hot flushes and Night sweats are my only side effect and are a complete nightmare. I,m spending a fortune on herbal tablets looking for one that actually works.

    Lots of love Andrea x
