Awww thank you ladies. I got to be honest I have woken up today in tears and feeling so down, and to come on here and read your lovely messages has really cheered me up. I thought I was ok about mum getting her results on Wednesday, I thought I had accepted that her nodes are probably infected, but I had news for myself this morning, I have not accepted it one bit, and I am feeling so scared about what Wednesday will bring. I said to her yesterday mum you must chase the appointment. She went quiet and said, I have it but was hoping I could keep it quiet until afterwards so as not to worry you more. I wish in someways I didn't know about it until afterwards, but I would have only been nagging for news on it.
Just rang Dad, and mum was just waking. She said her boob wasn't as uncomfortable today and she had a better night sleep. I am bit annoyed that her dressing has not been changed since the surgery last Thursday!!! She was given antibiotics straight away at the hospital and has to take them for a week. She has to go back on Monday to have dressing changed again and to make sure the infection is getting better. The fact she is feeling a bit better today makes me think she is on the mend. She has these horrible blisters that were red raw and had puss coming out of them from the drains. Sounds horrible. She does seem to be really tired now too. I think she probably did far to much earlier on in the week, but thats mum, there is no telling her.
How is your boob now Chrissie has it started to heal, I hope so. Mine got a slight infection and I also was tested for MRSA and it was ok thank good, fingers crossed for you for Thursday. I know only too well that horrid feeling of waiting for results after surgery. Make sure you take at least one person with you. I took mum, hubby, sister and one of my best friends along for moral support. They didn't all come in to see the doctor, just hubby and sister did. But just having them in the waiting room was a massive help.

Thanks for you nice wishes, and the teeth are still not fantastic. Hubby and I went for a meal last night and I am not supposed to eat on the side of the root for a couple of days and think I bit into a pepper corn and was panicking the root thing was coming out! Mouth still hurts, but I will survive (just)!! Will probably speak to you over the weekend on facebook.

Thank you for you good wishes, it means alot to me, you are all so caring on here.
And Mazaroo
Ouch that sounds so painful, did it get infected. Thank for your praying, everything will help. Just want to find out what we we are up against.
Boobs fine now Julie, even went for a swim in the sea today, actually it's because I needed a wee. ha ha I'm sure it was the dressing that caused the problems for me. Hope your mum feels better today, she probably just over did it! I think we all tend to try and bounce straight back, the head wants to but the body is screaming Nooooooo. Chrissie xxx
Hi Jules!!! I just signed in in the site, I'm from Guatemala Central America, I was trying to find information about breast cancer, my mom also was diagnosed about a month ago...She had breast cancer 18 years ago and had surgery, quimo, and radio and thanks to God she was fine and healthy this 18 years and I'm completely sure that we will win this battle again!!!...Just wanted to share this with you because I know it's hard but no matter how the situation looks and no matter what the doctors say God is in control of everything and for Him there is nothing impossible!!!... Andre :)
Glad the boob is healing Chrissie, the sea salt would do it the world of good with the healing. Not long now until Thursday, fingers crossed. I have a good feeling about it that your going to be ok. Hope I am right!!
Hello Andre lovely to hear from you, I do hope your mum manages to stay srong and beats bc again, please keep me posted.
Poor mum is having a bit of a rough time, her poor blisters have gone quite sceptic and are red raw and really ichy, and the heat is not helping one bit. I am quite angry with the hospital forgetting to sort out her dressing change, they have been good in every other way, but this oversight has caused her alot of pain, and infection. The worse thing is with the weather being hot and sticky and the dressings not letting the air get in. She says she wishes she could be covered in cotton bless her.
Its D day Wednesday. I found out from my daughter today that she had known about the appointment a week! Mum was trying to keep it from me so that it would not ruin my holiday!! Honestly, does she not realise I would have been ringing the whole time wanting to know when she was being seen, but bless her, shes so thoughtful!
Had some very sad news today. My hubbys old next door neighbour who he has known since he was tiny, died on Friday night. We went round to a garden party at his late dad and step mums house today and were told the news. She was dx with pancriatic cancer late May, and was told it was too advanced for chemo and she died less than two months after. Hubby was really upset. Bloody disease!!
Hope you are all enjoying the sunshine.
Love Jules xxxx
ps chrissie your so lucky living near the sea, I am so jealous!!!
I really feel for you and your poor Mum. For you I know how awful it is seeing our Mums in pain, but the infection must be making it even worst.
I just really wanted to say that I will be thinking of you on Wednesday. I hope it goes as well as it can. Before ours I needed to know everything - all possible outcomes, and my sister wanted to try not to think about it - complete opposites, and my Mum was absoltuley dreading it. Everybody is different.
Keep us all posted and try to look after yourself xxxx
Hi Jules, Just caught up with the news of your mums infection....I really hope the antibiotics kick in quick. Wednesday.....who's going with your mum..just your dad or are you and your sister going too?
Mum had her dressings changed today, and the infection has taken really well to the antibiotics and there was no more wet pus bits, and she seemed in quite good spirits.
I am so worried about Wednesday. I don't think I will be able to go into work on Thursday if its bad news, let alone go to Mexico next Tuesday.
I will keep you all uptodate with her results.
The Marsden are going to be busy this week with ladies from BCC!!
hi jules ,glad that your mums wound is getting better now.and she will be ok tomorrow ,at least you will all know whats what ,i think the not knowing is the worst as you imagine all sorts ,once the treatment plan is worked out you can face it head on .there are lots of people on here wishing you well . hope it goes ok, will be thinking of you and sending you cyber hugs by the bucket load !! xxxlynn xxx
Good luck for tomorrow for your Mum. Glad the wound is looking a bit better. Hopefully it's onwards and upwards from now, but will be thinking of you all tomorrow.
Thank you so much ladies, I am really worried, don't think I will cope if its bad news. Her appointment is 2.40, so will post and let you all know tomorrow evening. Thank you again for your continued support.
Ps will try and catch up with you Karen, Aroma and Maz on Facebook in the next few days.
