She has cellulitis or something like that. If she doesn't feel better by today her GP has told her to go to A&E, which is helpful. She's meant to be going to the States in a few weeks!
Hi all, greetings from the Ferry (Broughty) That doesnt sound to good Ali, hopefully you will beon antibiotics for this . My Gp always seems to be handing me pills for something. Howare you today Kate
Aww - that's it Louise - stick the knife in! I miss the Ferry on beautiful days like this - hope the weather is good with you too. OH about to take daughter and horse on a beach gallop, but I have to stay here to round up teenage boys!
Hoping everybody well, all things considered Sue xx
Hope you are all OK. Kate do hope things are improving.
My leg is getting better, still swollen. Breast Nurse thought it could be a blood clot but GP is not so sure.
Have not had to go to hospital but have lots of lovely drugs to take - 22 a day to be exact including the cancer ones.
I dont work Fridays so will be around. I have an appointment at the WGH at 9am Kate, if you tell me where you get rads I will drop off your pottery at rads. I will email you and if you could pass email to curtainqueen that would be fab.
Re Hawes Inn, I will probably have to give a miss as I am off to the States 4 December for 12 days, unless you can work round this - I am soooo d a r n selfish. Re the Spylaw. I got totally confused and thought you were not going..............
Hi Ali, How is the leg(s) - do you want to leave potery in the Maggies Centre a my appointment isn't til 2pm on Friday - no need to hang around for me unless you want to pop down later that day - got hospital transport and Im not sure what te deal is times wise.
Strung out on steroids but coping I hope apart from the insane sleeping patterns.
Looking forward to tomorrow just to get going.
We'll get together one of these days. - All welcome over the bridge at mine any time we can make it - I do a mean soup.
Once you know how the timing works for transport we could maybe meet for coffee at Maggie's. And I'd love a trip over the bridge to see you. Funnily enough - I'm going over tomorrow I think - but you'll be here at that time of day! typical! I'm only going to North Queensferry though.
You take care - I'll give you my ironing if your sleeping patterns are well messed up. I was doing ironing at 3am today, thinking I may bump into you at DDI - but you weren't there!
Hi All, I'm doing ok Headache and tiredness not as bad as I thought it would be. My legs are a bit funny. Still not sure if it is 5 x 5weeks or just this week then its done - sure hope so - we can get together as I will have loads of sick leave left and be of the steroids. Sue send that ironing over anytime - it'll be done in jiffy. Off for CT scan tomorrow to check other mets are doing - already booked in before rads.
Hi Ali, can I pick up the other stuff from you tomorrow or Friday also? I must have the wrong email adress for you I think...and maybe wrong mobile tooo...such a numptie these days, can't seem to retain anything Hope the various funny legs around edinburgh are baring(bearing?) up OK Love to all Yeti (well not quite yet perhaps, but hair IS growing) Gill ps to all....did you know that if, like me when searching for address, put "spylaw" into Google, our thread comes up!!!! Just a word to the wise to be careful when making arrangements etc... xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I just put spylaw into google and nothing semed untoward, Sometimes recent things on your own pc are listed first under a different heading. I am barelyPC literate BTW.
Just to get in on the act ,my legs give me jip most evening, its the Tamoxifen, But hey no pain no gain(apologies if that sounds flippant)
I propose Hawes Inn on either Saturday 29th November or Monday 1st December. I think if we get much closer to Christmas we'll all be busy rushing around like headless chickens.
I appreciate some people may actually want to be with their children at the weekend, hence the choice. As this is the proposed Xmas outing, it would be nice if we could all get there somehow.
Kate - I'm happy to come and get you, save you travel hassles.
I cant do 29th Im at a wedding in Glasgow (assuming thers no hiccups) The 1st may be ok but I may well be at work as my sick leave will be over, but I will be there if not. I can give lifts if required
November 30th, The rota for that week will be done so I may suggest filling in short shifts during the day for 1st week, no responsibility etc, after all I have a hectic social life, Im also meant to be out on the 30th for lunch but thats not aet in stone. Its that time of year again, I willhave only a few nights out, well one from work and we have that at work(free film and drink)
Hi All, Id prefer the 1st December as I finish my rads next week and would like to just rest.
I think it may be my thyroid causing most of my problems at the moment.
Sue I think if you could get me from the station again would be fine. If it is the 29th then I'll pop in for a drink but might not stay too long - need to get the scarves back on.
