What we do

Breast Cancer Care is here for anyone affected by breast cancer. We bring people together, provide information and support, and campaign for improved standards of care. More about us >

1472 We have been certified as a producer of reliable health and social care information.

Questions you may want to ask your doctor

It can be hard to understand your pathology report and you should ask your doctor or breast care nurse to explain anything you are unsure about. You may want to ask some of the following questions - just click the name of each question to find out more:

  • What type of breast cancer do I have?
  • What size and grade is the breast cancer?
  • Has all the breast cancer been removed?
  • Are there any breast cancer cells in the lymph vessels or blood vessels?
  • Are there any cells in the lymph nodes?
  • Is the hormone receptor positive or negative?
  • Is the breast cancer HER2 positive or negative?

You might also want to download or order some of our publications, a selection of which can be seen on the right of this page.
