Does wearing an underwired bra increase your risk of breast cancer?

No, it doesn’t.

But if your bra is too tight or too small the underwires can dig into your breasts and cause discomfort, pain or inflammation.

To find out how a bra should fit for comfort and support, take a look at our page on finding the right bra for you. You can also order our leaflet Your guide to a well-fitting bra.
