When can I have breast screening?
If you’re registered with a GP, the NHS Breast Screening Programme will invite you for a mammogram (a breast x-ray) every three years between the ages of 50 and 70.
You will get your first invitation between your 50th and 53rd birthdays (in England the age range is due to be extended from 47 to 73 in the near future).
Between screenings, continue to be breast aware and see your GP if you notice any unusual changes.
