Live Chat is Breast Cancer Care's online service where you can talk to others in real time. It is facilitated by an experienced moderator and a specialist nurse who are on hand to point you to sources of help and information. But for most people, the chance to talk to others in a similar situation is what counts.
Our current programme

This session is only open to people with a diagnosis of breast cancer. If you are worried you might have breast cancer but don’t have a diagnosis, please call our helpline or use our forums for support instead. How to use the Live Chat
Once you've registered, you can chat directly to other people.
To use the chat room you need to register first. If you are a member of the forum, your login details will not work for Live Chat. You will need to sign-up for Live Chat on this page.
The chatroom is only open at the times stated on the website. If you try to join outside of these times the room will be closed. The room usually open a few minutes before the scheduled opening times.
The chatroom will close at the scheduled time. However, the room will close to new admissions a few minutes before the session is scheduled to end.
Talk to others in the room by clicking in the white line at the bottom of the chat window. Type your message then either click on the arrow at the end of the line or press 'enter'. Your message will appear on the chat screen with your username and everyone else in the room will be able to read it.
Most messages are public, so anyone can read them. Occasionally the nurse may send a private message to you. These messages will be marked 'whisper', and no-one other than you or the nurse who sent it can see it.
If you have any queries or are experiencing any difficulties please email firstname.lastname@example.org. Please be aware that this email address is checked during normal working hours, 9am - 5pm, any queries sent outside of this time will be answered during the next working day.
