Her2 +ve aggressive cancer diagnosed 51/2 years ago. Following right mastectomy and chemo + herceptin treatment, have now just had a review and my hormone treatment has been terminated. So no more exemestane (aromasin)! Clear mammogram in April so things looking good.
This site was so useful when I was first diagnosed and whilst undergoing treatment. Made some good friends on-line and shared a lot of experiences. Found it to be a great comfort. Good luck to all of you. My thoughts are with you.

I was diagnosed 5 years ago last week and finished Herceptin in April 2008. I'm just waiting for my mammo and clinic appointment. It's usually not long before Christmas so fingers crossed I will get good news and be discharged.
Thank you Pammy for your really positive post, your cancer sounds similar to mine!!
It is so nice when you read posts like this, best of luck to you
Thank you

. Hi scorer
I got my all clear at the beginning of the year after 5years. I'd like to say it was a joyful experience but to be honest it wasn't. I actually found it a very difficult time.. I found support from the Haven here in Leeds and had a great time doing the Jane Tomlinson 10k. But I am still here.
Good luck.

Thanks Pammy
Thats really boosted us, my wife has just had her 3rd Herceptin after almost treatment same as you, and she was getting quite depressed with the side effects and she kept saying is it all worth it.
All the best
