Any information on Bio oil?

I am 8 years post-mastectomy and have recently started using Bio oil on my scars. However, it has occurred to me that there may be contra-indications for people who've had ER+ breast cancers. Does anyone have any information on this product and its suitability for BC scars? Thank you, Angelfalls

Well I've been using it since my mastectomy in April this year and told onc and bcn .. in fact it was bcn that suggested it to me.
I have heard doubts expressed about it because it contains lavender oil, which apparently has oestrogens in it.
However, my view is that since I'm putting it on scars and not drinking it, the amount that's likely to get into my system is minimal.

My Bs suggested I use vitA/D cream with aloevera.
Only place I could find all in one was Holland and barratt - Dr. organix for scars and stretch marks - really nice product.

Thanks for the information. It's always good to hear different viewpoints and to learn about alternative products, even 8 years on!
