Anyone being treated at St George's, Tooting?
I was supposed to have my 6 month check-up in early Nov. 2 days before the appointment I got a phone call telling me that the appointment had to be cancelled and I would be sent a new date in the post. I still haven't received anything. Is there anyone else in the same position? I presumed the hospital were short staffed due to swine flu and priorites would be given to those getting treatment and diagnosis. I have received such excellent care from the hospital and communication have always been good so I can't believe I have just been forgotten about. If I haven't heard in the next few weeks I'll ring them up and enquire.

Ring them and tell them you would benefit from an early appointment. I am at Charing Cross and they sent a letter telling me the 17/12 was cancelled and gave me the next week but so near Christmas I didnt want to think about it or results or anything so put the date in January 12th.
Just to put your mind at rest and you can not worry give them a call and just book a time and date for your consideration. Do it today and get rid of the monkey.
Good luck and let us know how you got on.

Don't know if you are still in area, but have you come across Paul's Cancer Support Centre? They work closely with St. George's, are based right by Clapham Junction station (brilliant for buses and underground, with car parking in Asda out back good).
They run all sorts of events, from a visit next month to Clarence House to the Healing Journey course.
If you don't know them their number is 7924-3924
