Appearance forum???
hello, sorry if this is not appropriate but I wasn't sure where to go with this. I was just wondering of there is a place we can suggest things we would like on the forums?
I was chatting about hair mascara on a thread and was just thinking that a dedicated forum section on appearance would be great. Sorry if anyone thinks that would be rubbish/unecessary. But I went on a Look Good Feel Better day and it was lovely, and made me think about how important and helpful it can be to feel a bit better about how you look. I have felt so rubbish about my appearance and would have loved to easily find some threads on (for example) how to tie a headscarf, wigs, hair dye, faking your eyebrows and eyelashes etc! And things like clothes and bra advice for the post-surgery body, recommendations for helping scars and radiation-sore skin etc.
I know people already talk about some of these things but they are all mixed in on the various threads about treatment, surgery etc. I thought it might be nice/helpful to have a special "looking good" space so you would know exactly where to go if you want to see if anyone has advice on wearing false eyelashes or dressing to minimise the look of uneven boobs etc! If this is a terrible idea (or if there is already such a place) I will shut up! Just thought I would put it out there. Thanks xxx

This is the right place to suggest ideas like this.
Before creating whole new forums it's quite a good idea to test out how popular it would be by creating a thread.
So, you could create a "looking good" thread (maybe here http://www.breastcancercare.org.uk/forum/helpful-and-interesting-f166.html - then it's separate from the threads about surgery, treatment etc and accessible to anyone).
You might find that a single, very active thread is all that's needed. Or if it does really take off and need its own space, we could think about that.
