BCC forums are open again
As you will notice, we have opened the forums again. We closed them last week to enable us to move to our new website. Unfortunately we had a lot of problems along the way, which meant that we had to keep the forums closed for longer than we had anticipated.
In the end, when we switched over to the new site yesterday, it just didn't work properly. As it doesn't seem like we will be able to get it working today, we have decided to re-open the forums, because we didn't feel that we could leave you without the support you get from them any longer.
We are really sorry for the upset and inconvenience it has caused you, being without the forums during this time. We are incredibly disappointed that we haven't been able to complete the switch. We've worked on the site for a long time now, so to have fallen at this last hurdle is hugely disappointing.
A lot of you have contacted us saying how much you miss the forums, but also to offer your thanks and support. We've really appreciated reading your messages and the whole team wants to thank you for them, and for your patience during this time.

Yes great to be up and running again - feel so sorry for the project team, they will be so dissapointed. Time to take stock and re-plan, but please make sure that everyones hard work on this is recognised too!

Please can someone in the BCC offices mop the brows of the digital team and let them have a quiet lie-down in a darkened corner for a while, the poor things are probably feeling a bit fraught at the moment.

Thanks for letting us know what has been happening. I too have missed the forums and seeing how my friends are getting along. Oh, thank god!!!! What a week it has been, didn't realise how much I would miss this site. Sorry you are having such a time getting it upand running but thank you for getting back online even though things are not sorted.

Another huge thank you for bringing the forums back again. Can't believe how much I've missed seeing how people are getting on and keeping in touch with my forum friends. I even had to resort to going on facebook after months of procrastinating !!!!!
Really sorry things haven't gone as expected with the new site - it must have been so very frustrating for all involved - but look forward to going on when it's ready.
I think this last week or so has really brought into focus how much we all rely on BCC and what an amazing site it is, so thanks a million to all involved in running it.

My grateful thanks to ALL of you at BCC for re-instating the Forums from my boss and BB, as the emails we've been swapping instead have made my BB vibrate off the desk!!
My BB has now gone to lie down in aquiet corner and I hope the digital team have gone to one too ( NOT the same one tho for their sakes)

What's going on? There are supposed to be 3 pages on this thread but we can only get access to the first one.
The only way to get to the latest posts seems to be to actually post something.Weird.
