BREAST CANCER SCREENING BEING STOPPED?

Appauling! If I hadn't got an early mammogram my DCIS would not have been notice as I had no other symptoms, only a few cysts, thank goodness for the mammogram screen and long may it last!
I am sure it is to do with money, not a thought to saving us ladies lives .........
What can we do to prevent this from going through?

Hi Curlylol - there is already a current thread on this called "over-diagnosis and breast screening"
I don't think it's quite as straightforward as anyone suggesting that BC screening should be stopped :
It is possible that it really isn't just about money .............
Topsymo do look at the 'over diagnosing and Screening 'bthread. Lot of thoughts on it worth reading.
I am a cynic and think this old potatoes is dragged out every year at Breast Cancer Awareness month. Good publicity for those wanting their research debated even if it is flawed or subjective and retrospective. or journalists dragging the depths for material that might bring them to the fore.
