Cancer support group Birmingham
Hi, I have been receiving treatment for breast cancer and was diagnosed at the age of 30. Due to the limited support available I have been trying to set up a support group especially for young(at heart) people. There is now a group - small at present but gradually growing - which meet monthly at the Plough pub on Harborne High Street, Birmingham. The next meeting is Wed August 24th at 4.30, if anyone local would like to pop along. Or send me a message and I'll let you know the next date.
At the moment there is a mixture of primary and secondary patients, and we tend to discuss our experiences but also keep things light hearted, It's an informal chance to mix and socialise with people who understand what we're going through.
Thanks
Vicky
