Carer support in Derby?

Carer support in Derby? Is there a husband in the Derby area who might be interested in meeting up with mine over a beer and trading carer experiences?
I have bone secondaries and because of the damage to my spine am now quite badly disabled - so my husband has had to take over lots of the household jobs. He has no family or friends in the area and neither the Macmillan nor my local private hospice provide one to one carer support. There is a twice monthly meeting for carers, but it\'s in the daytime and he works, so cannot attend it.
It is something that he would like to do, but we just need the right person. I know that BCC offer phone support, but he\'s not the sort of man who talks on the phone, he needs face to face support from someone else who\'s been there and got the t-shirt.
It seems to be an area that most of the charities forget about. I can get all the support I need for myself, but not for my carers. Strange really, as it seems obvious to me that they need back up too.
Anyway, here\'s hoping there\'s someone else out there near to us that might appreciate this too.
