Chit Chat sneaking into latest posts?

Each time I come back onto the site now and look at Latest Posts, I am finding Chit Chat threads popping up. If I refresh they go away, but why have they started to appear like this? It is making visiting the site more frustrating - now as well as having to log in repeatedly, I'm having to ask for latest posts twice each time.
I know this forum will soon be discontinued, but hope these problems will be resolved in the new version!

Don't worry, we are not closing the site just having a revamp, the rest of the BCC website has been sorted but the forums will change over at a date yet to be decided, check out the rest of the site here:

The forums will live under the 'Community' tag
