Emma, Manchester Younger Women's Forum buddy
I just thought I should let everybody know the extremely sad news that Emma, who attended the young women's forum in Manchester in May, sadly passed away last Thursday. Her husband bravely emailed those of us who met Emma at the forum with this most terrible news. Emma was only diagnosed with primary breast cancer in October 2010 and died of secondary breast cancer in her lungs just over a year later. She leaves behind two very young sons, her husband and her parents. I cannot recall what name she posted under on here but do recall her telling me that she used to read the forum and knew all about me and my posts when I told her my forum name! We were laughing about how weird that was, and that's what I will remember. All the girls who met Emma at the forum are shocked and devastated by this news. I didn't know Emma very well but thought she should be honoured with an in memory post here.
Rest in peace Emma, and God bless your family, and especially your little boys.
Vickie

Thank you Tors for bringing this to the forums as I am sure some of the users who attended the Manchester YW Forum will remember Emma.
On behalf of the moderation team here, please pass on our sincere condolences to Emma's family at this sad time.
Kind regards,
Jo, Facilitator
Very shocking and so quick. We had such a good weekend. The pictures of her boys are heartbreaking.

Thanks for sharing this terribly sad news, Vickie. Does anyone remember Emma's username? I didnt know Emma personally, but its awfully sad to hear about the loss of another young woman and mother to this horrible disease. Heartfelt condolences to her family and friends and God love those poor children.

I am sad to her this news too. Like Gingerbud I would like to know what her user name was. We get to know ladies on here but sometimes do not know tham by their real name. Thank you Tors for letting us know and sympathy for her family at this difficult time. Val
Very sad. RIP Emma.
