For Gillyflowers Hi Gilly
Just thought i would let you know i have decided to have the bilateral. I spoke to the breast care nurse & went through all of my notes, she was really supportive. The only thing she wouldn't do was decide for me!! but with a strong family history & catching it early twice i don't want to push my luck to far. I go in tommorow!!
How are you now you've finished your rads? relieved it's over or a little anxious? I remember last time i felt a bit of both.
You take care
Louise xx
Morning Hi Louise
I'm glad you've made your decision, I know its easy for me to say but I'm sure i would have made the same choice as you!
I feel a bit weird if i was to be honest about finishing treatment, part of me thinks ' Yes, no more hospital visits and can try to be normal again' and yet i'm really scared of the future, i find it hard to look to the future as well. I worry about ' what if ' but have decided i cant live like that!
Will be thinking of you tomorrow, let me know how you are as soon as you can, how long will you be in hospital for?? I was in 3 days!
A few tips - take pj's with button fasteners up the front, it was so much easier and they dont cling to you like t shirt ones do.
Take some squash, cause i was so thirsty and i'm not normally a big drinker. Baby wipes to wash your face etc cause they wont let you shower, it was easier than soap.
All the best for your op, try and keep smiling!!
Big Hugs
