Good scan results!
Just thought I'd share my latest 3 monthly PET scan result which is still showing NED which I'm so relieved about. It's the 3rd successive clear scan I've had since coming off chemo in November last year and my oncologist has agreed for my next scan to be in 6 months instead of 3 which gives me the whole summer to play with!
I know my luck could run out at any time but am so pleased for the timebeing and just can't wait to get the dog settled in kennels(which I'm trying out next week)so that I can book and go off on lots of adventures.
Thinking of anyone waiting for scan results. The results made up for the fact my actual scan was delayed by 3 hours after I got up early to make the journey from South Wales to London!
Take care all,
Anne x

Hi Anne
Really pleased your scan was alright.Go off and have a great summer, and hopefully see you in Bristol again soon.
I managed to persuade my oncolgist last week that I didn't need another scan just yet, especially as I am off on hols for a week on Monday. Can't seem to get rid of recurrant mild urine infections though, discovered at 1am that my antibiotics and chemo don't really mix, but am Ok again today.

Great Anne - I agree with everyone - have a whizz of a time.
Marmite it sounds like you are going to have to have a cranberry juice iv on the go.
Best of health to us all for the summer at least.
Great news Anne, you can breath a huge sigh of relief and enjoy the summer.
I had a CT scan on Friday and will get results next week, so I hope NED is contagious.

Linda
Hi Anne
Wow, wot fantastic news and bet you are so pleased to stay NED. Must be a great feeling.

Love Kathryn

Thanks so much ladies for all your positive comments.
Good luck to all those waiting for scan results - especially Linda and Dawn next week.
The day after my great results I had the bad news that a very good neighbour who has been a tremendous practical and emotional support over the past year for me has just been diagnosed with that awful type of lung cancer associated with asbestos, having never smoked or worked in a known asbestos line of work being a teacher! The prognosis is not good so I feel like the boot is on the other foot now and I feel so helpless!
It is all such a rollercoaster - I've booked my flights for Spain for early July and intend to make the most of the summer and this lovely weather!
Take care all and enjoy your holiday Marmite!
