We are aware that there are bugs with our online community, and we still working through the bugs list and retrieving missing content. Thank you for your patience.
Help us improve Breast Cancer Care's online forum
As you know, Breast Cancer Care’s online forum is an important source of support and information for people affected by breast cancer. We’ve always had a lot of feedback from people using the forum, but we’d like to create a more formal user panel as part of Breast Cancer Voices to help us get regular feedback from forum users.
What is it for?
The purpose of the panel is to help us make sure our online community is useful to the people who need and use it. The panel will comment on the online forum, providing feedback on it in its current form, making suggestions for future developments and user-testing new developments. The panel may also provide feedback on other elements of Breast Cancer Care’s online activities, but the main focus will be the forum and community elements.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a diverse range of people to be involved in the panel but you must be a regular user of Breast Cancer Care’s online forum.
How will it work?
We envisage almost all communication taking place online, so participation will be quite flexible. There will be regular opportunities to get involved, probably taking between 20 minutes and 1 hour each month. We have already planned some user involvement activities for June-August, so ideally you would be available over the summer, but there will be opportunities to be involved throughout the year.
OK, I'm interested, how do I sign up?
We are managing recruitment to this panel through the Breast Cancer Voices programme, which is our user involvement programme (http://www.breastcancercare.org.uk/get-involved/breast-cancer-voices/). If you want to get involved, please contact Amarjit Kaur on
or 0845 092 0800. Amarjit only works part-time, so don't worry if you get an out of office message. Please contact her ASAP, as we will be looking through the applications shortly.
I've still got questions
Please address all questions to Amarjit in the first instance, as I won't be around to answer questions over the next week.

Bumping this up to the top.
Jo, Facilitator
Hi everyone
We've been able to extend the deadline for this, so if you are interested in getting involved, please do let us know. You're all so great at giving feedback about the site, we'd just like to be able to do it in a more structured way, getting your help on future developments before they happen and things like that.
Best wishes
Leah
Just bumping this up to the top again - only heard about it today as I have been away on holiday but it sounds very interesting.

leah i have replied to your email
Hi Leah, I read this thread after I got your email. (I have already replied but asked you a couple of questions which I would like you to look at). I am happy to help but will be away until the end of July. Can you get back to me? Thanks Leah, from Val
Thanks to all those who have replied. If anyone else is interested, we're still accepting applications.
