Hi ladies,
Some feedback would be well appreciated
I was diagnosed with breast cancer in August 2007, had lumpectomy, chemo and radio.
we are now yr 3 after diagnosis and year 2 after end of treatment and I think its back.
regular check with the surgical team several months ago I expressed my concern as I had noticed changes in the scar area. I was told the puckering was mainly due to the lymph swelling as the doc couldnt feel anything. last week or so I have noticed an area just below my scar, looks like dimpling but presumed it was the indentation of my bra but I did however mention it at my mamo and scan this week. when scanned there is apparently vascular activity in that area, does any one know what this means ? of course I have googled it and scared myself s.....ss! I have also examined my breast closer with no indentations and it does look like i have a dimple and I am sure I can feel a lump
I went to the GP who wanted to leave it a week or so and she couldnt feel anything but after getting upset she has referred me back to my surgeon and here starts the waiting game with great anxiety.
My question to you ladies is....... has anyone had a re occurrence of cancer this soon and what happens next? does this mean a mastectomy? its killing me to have to wait.......

Can't give you any advise on this, but just wanted to send my love and best wishes your way, hopefully some of the other ladies on here will be able to give you some guidance/reassurance. Good luck and take care Alx xx
Dawny can't help you with your query. But just a thought as you are still 'in the system' having follow ups can you ring your BCN to bring forwards any follow up appt with your team, it might be quicker than a 'new' referral from your GP.Sending you cyber hugs at this worrying time for you. Jackie
thanks ladies really appreciate your kind thoughts x
