London Meet in May

A few dates in May have been put forward to meet again at Cafe Rouge near St Pauls, for lunch - new faces always welcome!
Dates are (and people so far able to come):
20th or 21st May: Kay, Jacksy, Jools (21st only), Ripley, KatherineM?, Deirdre, Dee, JaneRA (7 definites, and 1 possible)
26th, 27th, 28th, 29th May: Kay, Ripley, KatherineM, Jennywren, JaneRA, jaynemh (6 definites)
Manon - neither

The second week is half term week (and bank holiday Monday).

I can do 20th or 21st 2nd week is half term but we are not away . Will avoid 27th as it is our wedding anniversary so live in hope and expectation of a treat then!

I cannot really plan to far ahead cos of my hubbys work, as he normally works out which days he is having off on his rota about a week before.
I have herceptin on 19th, so 20th prob not good for me, as get so tired, so 21st probably better. I would say go with the majority thou and I will see what I can do. I would love to come as missed out on the last few, and was one of the inital liver birds and have missed not catching up with you all.
Following week is half term so not so easy for me really.

But thinking about it, the week after could be OK on the Thursday (28th) as wont have to worry about wot time get home for sophie to go swimming as half term.

Oops, wrong forum, sorry to crash in ladies
Hi all
As off to Gran Canaria tomorrow (and nobody else has made the decision) I think we should settle on Thursday May 21st. It is the slightly more popular date and is also the date several people who couldn't make the last meet, can do. Are others in agreement?
I am aware though, Jennywren, that you missed our last meet and will miss this one too - do you want to suggest some dates in July to make sure that you can make the next one???
If any one else with secondaries wants to join us then please post - all welcome!

I should be off on my Odyssey week in Wales then, but maybe we can manage one in July, before the schools break up? I'm sure I'll get to meet you all one of these fine days.

Am hoping I can still make this though obviously a little uncertain about hospital appts at the moment - Thursday is chemo day at the hospital. I know you have also said you are probably not able to join us this time, Jane.

Kay do you want to think about a short postponement until you see how things work out treatment wise for both you and Cathy, perhaps see whether you will start chemo again on that Thursday. You would both be much missed.

Thanks very much for this thought but - and I obviously can't speak for Cathy - I would feel very uncomfortable about the idea of postponing/rearranging the meet should I not be able to attend. There are obviously several people who already can't make that day but there are "enough" already whether or not I can go. So I definitely think it should go ahead as planned.
I do think though this is one of the reasons it would be good to make it a fairly regular event - think I've already nominated Jennywren as the person to suggest some dates for July (before the summer holidays). So if I can't make the 21st, there will be another proposed date to look forward to.

Hi All
Well sadly I dont think I can make yet another one of our meets. Think I told you that I have got to have a bone scan and it is on Wednesday at 11.40, so have to go have the injection and then go back after bout 3 hours. Therefore John has to take Wednesday as one of his days off to look after Jack and probably pick Sophie up from school. And as he normally has one day off at the weekend too, looks like I will not have any babysitter for Thursday. Am gutted, but not really much I can do about it. As dont want John working all weekend and leavin me on my own wiv kids if you know wot I mean.
Sorry again, and hope u believe me that it is not just an excuse, as I was really wanting to make this one and see you all again, and meet the other ladies that have started to come along too.
Kay and Cathy, hope you get your treatment dates sorted and things settle down again for you.

Sounds as if it is Jacksy, Jools, Ripley, KatieP, Deirdre, Dee, MargaretC as definites; me as a highly probable, and KatherineM and Trixie as possibles. I'll leave it until Monday for a few more people to confirm (or not) and then book a table - for 11am?? It will be booked in the name of Wallace - a garden gnome who attended our first meet.

It does look as if it might be quite a small gathering but am hoping that Jools, MargaretC, and Dee are still able to come??? Otherwise it will just be me, Jacksy and Deirdre with Ripley and (fingers crossed) Kathryn joining us later.
