mastitis after mastectomy

After having had a mastectomy on 7th December I had in excess of 3 litres of fluid drained over the next 10 days, it is now not filling up as quickly but have now developed really bad masitis - been to GP who has given my anatibiotics, has anyone else suffered with this after their mastectomy - regards

I didn't have a mastectomy but i got mastitis a few weeks after my lumpectomy. I was also given antibiotics & felt better within a couple of days. Hopefully yours will clear up quite soon.
