I used to be on here three years ago when mum had her lump and made some wonderful friends. Sadly one of those ladies passed away on the 9th May, I am not sure if she still used these forums as we all communicated on facebook in the end. Anyway Mel999 (one of the ho hummers) was a wonderful person and showed amazing courage right up until the end, always managing to show compassion and love to anyone who needed her help. Her funeral was today in Cannock and I felt I wanted to put her name up here, as she was an amazing lady. RIP Mel, sadly gone, but never forgotten. xxxx

She was a sweetie, and yes i will always think of her and her HO hum threads, and more recently her song of the day
I am not sure if she posted much on here recently, as I have only come back myself since I had my own cancer diagnosis in March.

Hi
I was one of the ho hummers with Mel from the beginning and it is so very sad that she lost her fight. She was an amazing lady with a fantastic outlook on life and her continual strength was an inspiration to us all.
Love you and miss you Mel

Very sad to hear this, Mel was a great lady. God Bless x
I first met Mel in hospital in Dec 2007, we had our BC operations and ended up on the same ward in beds next to each other, and we stayed in touch. She was a truly amazing lady, a lovely strong person an inspiration to us all. She was very supportive and I know she had many BC friends on here and Facebook. I am devastated like many of her friends and family that she has gone. I cannot really believe it and I have to remind myself. God Bless Mel x x I'm sure you're watching us all where ever you are.
