my partner and her daughter
I have been in a relationship with my partner for 23 years. In 07 both my partner and her daughter of 27 were diagnosed with BC one month apart. Now her daughter has just been diagnosed with bone mets.
This journey is something no mother and daughter should ever have to endured together and now we have to come to terms with this new diagnosis.
Any other partners out there? Our lives have been totally dominated by BC for the last 3+ years and are still in shock over new diagnosis. I am trying to carry on with some sort of normality but I am constantly thinking and worrying. Would like to communicate with others who are supporting for their partners.

Hello Rainbow, so very sorry to hear your news. What a shocker, you must all feel really devastated at the moment. I think its the shock thats so hard, and especially when there is a recurrence, just what everyone dreads so much. I think the secondaries threads on here are great. I'm not sure if there are other female partners on here just now, there are a few husbands and male OH's about who sound totally lovely - guess some of the issues are similar and some not.
Norberte and I have been quite busy contributers to the lesbian and bisexual women's threads over the last few months but both found ourselves in positions where its time to move on a bit , so I won't be on the threads much , but if you think I can help please PM me...I finished my treatment in sept 2010 and my partner is an Onc.
very best wishes,
Nicola
