numbness in arms

numbness in arms Hi, I have had a bilateral mastectomy with reconstruction at same time, in 2001, unfortunately I got an infection and had to have the implants removed last March 2005, my nipples also were infected so got them removed in August 2005.
Now I have numbness all down my arms, like a \"dead arm\". My consultant did say that I had nerve damage around the area where my nipples and implants were removed, but only just getting the numbness and dead feeling now.
Has anyone else experienced this and what can I do to stop this. It is really painful and uncomfortable. I have tried co-codamol tablets but nothing. I cannot take anything with ibroprofen as this upsets my stomach.
I also have been getting leg cramps at night although I have had this since my mastectomy in 2001.
I appreciate any assistance I could get. I am not on any medication.
thanks
xx
numbness in arms Hi puppydog,
Sorry you haven\'t had any replies from forum users up to now I am sure there\'s someone out there who can help you. Could I suggest that you contact BCC helpline on 0808 800 6000 or try the Ask the Nurse service on this site.
Best wishes,
BCC Host
Hi, don\'t often look at this forum, but read your query. Is it worth reposting it to reconstructive surgery? There may be people who go there who have similar problems.
Moved post Hi Puppydog and Phoebe
I have also posted this in Reconstructive surgery so it will be seen by more users
Kind Regards
