Hi Jo there's a good group of Glashow girlies who meet up fairly regularly they are just organising their next lunch date I'll bump the thread you.....

Maybe Maggies will b able to help... Maggies Edinburgh is great.

If your 45 or under you can go to the bcc young women's forum in Cumbernauld.... It's also excellent.

Re: Support groups in Ayrshire/ Glasgow area

Hi Jo,
I am one of the Glasgow girlies that LuLu mentions - and you are VERY welcome to join us online and in person. We are quite a 'fluid' group with folk opting in and out all the time, but always a core of us who like a nosh and a natter. It is definitely a 'safe enough space' to talk fears... they even welcomed me and I'm a crazy saassenach! We have a broad age range, including lots of 'in betweenies' - too old for Younger Women's Forum but still technically still pre-menopausal and defined as 'young' by the NHS!

If you'd like to come along to our next gathering, just add a comment on our thread, we'd love to meet you.

I have never used them, but am told Maggies (both at Western and now at Gartnavel/Beatson) are excellent. There's also Tak Tent at Gartnavel/Beatson which offers counsellling as well as alternative therapies. I am pretty sure there are also MacMillan people at Beatson. We are very fortunate in Glasgow to have so much help and support 'on tap'... including the BCC Scotland office.

Do come and give us a go... we don't bite!

Btw we are open to anyone central belt-ish, and some of our friends from Edinburgh and East often join us too.
