Hello,
Had first Tax Tuesday and first herceptin Thursday. Have already had 3 EC. Having really hoT sweats and abdo cramps along with ususal chemo aches BUT which is causing the problem or is it the combination. How long do they last? At least I don't feel sick like last time!

Hi,
I had tax and Herceptin and am now just having Herceptin. I have minimal side effects from the Herceptin, just a slight flu like feeling for a couple of days and some tiredness. I found that with the tax chemo, the side effects started a few days after the infusion. Like you, I had mine on a Tuesday and it was Friday when the side effects kicked in. I found that they lifted a bit after 3 or 4 days. Hope you're feeling better soon hun and if you're worried, give your team a call. Sending you positive vibes xx
i just have to agree with previous post, I had 6 tax/herceptin and still on Herceptin with few SEs . The aches are prob from Tax, My 1st Tax was the worst after that they became bearable. Stick with it ,it's the best treatment available. But do take anti-sickness meds even if you don't need them they help with stomach probs too.

Thanks Lisa and Tilly Bob, Just feeling mighty perculiar at the moment but as you say it is the first Tax I've had and most people seem to tolerate the Herceptin better. I shall try the anti sickness pills as stomach ache is getting better but still evident. Feel as though I have eaten 10 tins of Heinz beans all in one go!!!
I had the most awful abdo cramps with tax - almost like giving birth!Only lasted a day ot 2 though. No side effects at all from Herceptin. I would say deffo from the tax!
