Well said, I have made some fantastic friends, most of whom I have not met in person, yet. Thank you BCC and most of all thanks to everyone for your support, I couldn't have got this far (with the majority of my sanity intact) without you.

I really agree when first Dx was so alone for several months cannot think why I did not find BCC sooner what a great source of comfort and info, and cyber friends the threads have all been J xx
Totally agree Poppy! Thanks BCC and thanks to everyone for making the forum what it is x
I ditto that to! I wouldn't of got through all the bad and upset with out you ladies and this forum. I've laughed and cried with you, smiled, sent and received hugs, celebrated your good news and felt your bad news. I will properly never meet you all ( though I hope to met some of you at debenham mk on 16 th,) but I feel I know you so well. Someone said to me' why do I use the site, don't you have friends and family for that, I had so many calls when I had a hysterectomy '. But you guys are here morning , noon and night, someone has experienced what I'm going through. So once again THANK YOU bcc and all you wonderful ladies, god bless!
Hurrah for this site. It gives so much support from the folks who REALLY know how we feel cos they have been there too. I have met some lovely people in person also.
Have to agree. I don't post a lot, but read loads, which all helps me cope. Thanks, all.

Great thread Poppy. The site provides so much information and comfort, without which I think I would have been totally floundering. It's great to know that when you're down there's always someone there who understands or that you can lift the phone and call the helpline.
Thanks everyone.

Here, Here xxx
Big thanks from me too. When it feels like the rest of the world doesn't understand, I know there are friends on here who will.
Yay!
Almost all the info I now have about BC I got from the wonderful people on these forums and BCC so thank you so much for this and for understanding exactly what it's like

Thanks everyone, it's really kind of you to take the time to write such lovely comments. Thank you all for being here to support each other.
with best wishes
Leah
(P.S. I might move this to "website feedback" if you don't mind too much - it probably fits better there)
Agree - invaluable support to enable me to feel more informed, more empowered and more confident about coping - and there's always someone there who really understands.
A big thank you.
Just want to add my thanks as well- don't post much but like Sheil read plenty. This site has kept me sane throughout and been a HUGE support.
Thank you to all the BCC folk who keep this this site up and running so well.
(PS Thanks to all the forum members too)
Diana
i want to say a big thank you to BCC too not just for the forum but for all the valuable advice and support through other means like the BRCA forum, the younger womens forums and the fashion shows.
i have met some wonderful people through BCC who will be life long friends and feel truly enriched by knowing them even though we have lost a few special ones along the way im so glad they became part of my life.... so yes! a great big thank you to BCC (and in a strange way to cancer which brought us all together in the first place).

Had to ring the helpline this morning as have a dreadful cough and lovely lady I spoke to was so reassuring and knowledgeable. THANK YOU FOR BEING THERE. It certainly stopped me panicking. This is just one of many things that have helped me through this phase of my life. Adi
This forum has been a lifeline before during and after my diagnosis and treatment and the lovely women who have shared their experiences have helped me more than I can explain. I echo all the previous "thank yous" to BCC for providing this supportive website. Xx
I would like to add a thumbs up to this site. There are inspirational and exceptionally brave women on here. I was extremely lucky with my diagnosis and cannot help but take my hat off to you ladies who are going through much more gruelling treatment. All the responses are so positive and you are never slow to support newcomers and to try to allay their fears at any stage of their treatment. You're all heroes.
Big thanks to BCC, without you I would never have met the lovely ladies I had lunch with today. My face actually hurts from the smiling and laughing we did, and I would never have met them without this site. As for what silliness went on, you would have had to have been there for it to make sense, suffice to say, a good time was had by all. And Reading will never be the same again...
There has been research done (linky, anyone?) showing that having good support through cancer diagnosis and treatment has a hugely positive effect on outcome, so thumbs up all round. You have all been my saviours over the last six months, I can't imagine getting through it without you lovely people.
Good to find this thread to latch onto!
I have 'lurked' in the forums since my diagnosis last summer (Aug 2010), have now just finished my 'active treatment' and decided I ought to register if only to thank everyone who posts for their openness and honesty and to thnak all at BCC for providing a 'safe enough' space for people to share experiences as well as all the excellent official information available online.
So my thansk to everyone too!
