Update to Cyberknife petition
Just to give everyone who has signed it a little update. I'm told that the Marsden may be having a meeting with the South East Coast Specialised Commissioning Group this week to discuss the funding issue, and are hoping that the funding ban will be dropped. Nothing is certain as of yet, so please keep urging everyone you know to sign.
Cyberknife will eventually become recognised by cancer patients. Dr Gaya, a Harley Street Oncologist involved in Cyberknife treatment has said "most advances in cancer treatment are small steps forward, but occasionally there is a giant leap. The CyberKnife® System is a robotic radiosurgery machine that is revolutionising the way cancers are treated".
By the end of 2011, four NHS Hospitals will be accepting patients for Cyberknife treatment, so it is totally unacceptable that only twenty eight Primary Care Trusts currently fund treatment. So we must make a stand.
Please sign the petition, and get your friends to sign.

I can go to Mount Vernon, so if I ever needed it... It is ridiculous that some people can and some people can't.
