Elaine sadly lost her battle with secondary breast cancer in the early hours of Tuesday morning..... This is the message her hubby posted on FB.
I am sorry to have to let everyone know Elaine died peacefully in her sleep last night at home as she would have wished in very little pain. She was sedated and was sleeping peacefully when I went to bed and I found her when I checked her about 5am. We are both grateful for all the messages of support which did buck her up near the end. With regards to her funeral please contact me. I shall miss her and just hope she enjoyed our 14 years together as a couple as much as I did. Gray
I had the good fortune to meet Elaine and she was as lovely and funny in real life as she was online... She was very supportive to me and many others who carried brca mutations. A very special lady who will be missed by many.

I didn't know Elaine/Veggiebab at all, but am sad to read this news - another one taken way too soon. My condolences to her husband and to those of you who knew and loved her.
RIP Veggiebab.
So sorry to read this news. I should like to send condolences on behalf of all the moderators at Breast Cancer Care.

I spoke to Veggiebab on secondary chat quite a few times so realised she wasn't at all well but even so I'm shocked. My deepest condolences to her family and friends.
At peace, Elaine.

Hi Lulu,
Thank you for letting us all know - as the ladies have said she was a regular on chat and we missed her.
I'm so shocked and sadden by the news. As you've said she had a good sense of humourwhich shone through and was supportive on chat.
Please send my condolences to Gray, family and friends, and of course to you.
Rest in peace Elaine - another bright star twinkling in the sky.
Love to you all
