That is really interesting. I would probably have to have chemo anyway as had 1 node involved but others with no nodes may get away with no chemo. Thanks for passing that on. Debx

Thanks for the advice. I have my next Herceptin tomorrow at home and also have an oncology appointment in the afternoon to discuss my hot sweats so will ask the nurse in the morning and onc in the afternoon what they think.

I had Herceptin for a yr but I didnt find it too cause probs with my nails. The taxotere was bad for that, the great news is that my hair and nails are doing great now a yr down the road. Hope this give u some light. Take care Samina xxx

Flora, It is my understanding that herceptin hangs around in your system for up to six months after finishing taking it, so there is probably no need for you to worry

I believe you only need a reload dose if the break is 4 weeks-I have herceotin every 3 weeks, and don't need to be reloaded!
