Carols by Candlelight – 3 December 2012
About
Monday, 3 December 2012, 7pm
St Paul’s Church, Knightsbridge
Join us once again at the magical setting of St Paul’s Church for our popular, annual Carols by Candlelight. This wonderful evening will put you in the Christmas spirit with complimentary gifts, seasonal readings from celebrities, festive carols and special musical performances. Guests at last year’s sell out event enjoyed readings by Dan Stevens, Bill Paterson, Zoë Wanamaker and a special reflection by Alison Keenan.
The magical atmosphere continues after the service as guests gather in the church courtyard for mulled wine, mince pies and hot roasted chestnuts. For those who wish to carry on the festivities see below for more details of our Champagne Supper. All money raised from this special event will help Breast Cancer Care continue to support over 500,000 people currently living with breast cancer in the UK.
Tickets will be on sale through our website from 10 September.

Venue
St Paul’s Church, Knightsbridge
St Paul’s Knightsbridge, an Anglican Church in Central London, was consecrated in 1843 and was the first parish church in London to follow the teachings of the Oxford Movement. It is currently one of London’s most beautiful Victorian churches and has served the people of Knightsbridge ever since.
The whole building is elaborate and highly decorated in rich Christian imagery and symbolism: with tiled panels around the walls of the nave, scenes from the life of Jesus Christ; the 14 Stations of the Cross that intersperse tiled panels and scenes from the Crucifixion story. Around the church there are also numerous famous paintings of figures that have played a huge role in the history of St. Paul’s.
