The Show Glasgow 2011 – join us in 2012!

The highlight of the 2011 event was the fashion show, which showcased the very latest fashion from the House of Fraser, and saw each of our stunning models strut their stuff down the runway. All of our models showed that you can look sensational and have body confidence after a diagnosis of breast cancer.

Host Kaye Adams and MC Romeo from Clyde FM welcomed guests to an afternoon of exciting fundraising activities including luxury balloons and cupcakes, raffles and our silent auction.

The glamour didn’t stop at the catwalk as our budding super models got to do it all over again during the evening event. Host Amanda Hamilton introduced more fundraising festivities which included our live auction hosted by the wonderful Willie Paterson from Charity Auctioneers Scotland. The evening ended on a high with a show stopping performance from Zoe Tyler, with guests dancing late into the night. Thank you to all our guest speakers and supporters who kept our guests entertained on the night.

All of the guests enjoyed an emotional but uplifting experience with the event raising a fantastic £116,000 for the charity. Thanks to everyone who made this event possible including our main sponsor Home Farms, our media partner the Sunday Mail, Montgomory Litho Group, Alliance Wine, Highland Spring, MCL and all of our Gold Donor supporters.

Models

We have now selected our models for the 2012 fashion show. Thank you to everyone who applied to be involved.

1608  On 27 September 2012, the tenth annual Breast Cancer Care Scotland fashion show will take place at the prestigious Radisson Blu Hotel, Argyle Street, Glasgow. The event celebrates the strength and courage of 20 women and men who have had, or are living with breast cancer, as they take to the catwalk for the first time. With professional styling and make-up by our dedicated style team, our models will walk proudly onto the catwalk to show everyone how fabulous you can look despite a breast cancer diagnosis.

Here’s what some of our models said

'Mega big thanks to you and all the Breast Cancer Care team for making Thursday a truly unforgettable experience. I know I'm not speaking just for myself when I say that the Show is one of the most amazing things to ever happen to me and that's completely down to the hard work of the Breast Cancer Care team, the volunteers, photographers, make-up and hair and everyone else that made in possible. Feet are just about hitting the ground again here!'
Deborah McVey, model 2011

'Just wanted to say what an amazing experience we all had - thanks to the hard work of you all at Breast Cancer Care as well as the make up and hair teams, the photographers, the lovely Kim, the volunteers, techies and hotel staff! We had a ball!'
Emma Thomson, model 2011
