You will receive all the information listed below in your official race pack which will be posted to you around three weeks before the race. In this envelope there will be: your Final Instructions magazine, race number, timing chip and your kit bag. On race day morning you should place all your gear into this kit bag and hand it over to the baggage trucks before heading for the start. The baggage trucks will be to the top-left hand corner of the park, roughly 200 metres, or 2-3 minutes walk, from the Start Corrals.

  7. Crossing points can be found on the course for spectators and these will be clearly signposted and marshaled.
  8. The charity marquees are this year located on the beach, right by the finish line.
  9. Shuttle buses will be in operation throughout the day to take you from the Repatriation Area at the eastern end of the finish system back to the city centre, as well as to the park and ride sites on the edge of the city.

Training tips

431 Training is essential to your Brighton Marathon preparation. The more you put in, the more enjoyable your experience will be! We have designed a marathon training plan to help you on your way.

Our week by week training plan specifies how far and how often you should run. It also tells you when to rest in order to get the most out of your training. We suggest you should start your preparations 16 weeks before the race. The increase in mileage in our training plan is designed to help you improve your fitness level for the big day.

Use our stretching guide to help you fully prepare for yourself for your training sessions and on race day.

Once you’ve created your page, email the link to friends, family, colleagues and classmates. You can even add the JustGiving application to your Facebook page to make it even easier for your friends to donate.

Please note: Justgiving money will only be attributed to the person who set up the Justgiving page, so please do not set up joint pages as we are unable to share the money between several people.
