Congratulations

Many congratulations from Breast Cancer Care and woman&home to all our wonderful Scone Palace Pink Ribbonwalkers! It was a wonderful day and we hope that you all enjoyed yourselves. We will be emailing you with an online questionnaire and look forward to your feedback. In the meantime please email pinkribbonwalk@breastcancercare.org.uk if you want to let us know about your experiences on the day.

Thank you to all our wonderful volunteers who gave up so much of their time to help us at the event. We really couldn’t make the Pink Ribbonwalk such a success without your support. If you would be interested in volunteering at next year’s Pink Ribbonwalk please email rwassistant@breastcancercare.org.uk. Thank you also to all the very generous companies who donated their products to us on the day; they were hugely appreciated by all involved.

Don’t forget that your £175 sponsorship needs to be with us by Friday 20 July.

Well done, we hope you are immensely proud of your fantastic achievement and have your medal somewhere for all to see!

20 mile route

Average walking time: 6 to 9 ½ hours walking including rest stops

From our event village in front of the historic Scone Palace we head to the banks of the River Tay before a short uphill section through Scone Wood and into the village of New Scone. There we continue along forest trails through Muirward Wood until we reach the ruins of Cambusmichael Church. Here we drop down to the tree-lined banks of the River Tay and take in the wonderful views along the scenic river path before returning to Scone Palace.

10 mile route

Average walking time: 3 to 5 hours walking including rest stops

The 10 mile route has the same beginning and end as the 20 mile route.

At New Scone where the 20 milers enter Muirward Wood the 10 milers head west. The route passes beautiful open farmland tracks and picturesque rural cottages before rejoining the 20 milers at the old ferry station at Waulkmill.
