Breast Cancer Care has a team of experienced nurses who all have specialist knowledge in the field of breast cancer and breast health.

Based in our offices in London and Sheffield, the nurses are responsible for the accuracy of the clinical content in all our print and online information. They also work on many of the free services offered by Breast Cancer Care including the Helpline, Ask the Nurse email service, One-to-One Support and Live Chat, as well as training other healthcare professionals.

Dr Emma Pennery, Clinical Director

Emma heads up the team and has worked as a breast care nurse specialist for many years and has a wealth of knowledge and expertise in all aspects of breast cancer. She also lectures at national and international conferences and sits on various expert management groups for UK and European research.

Rachel Rawson and Carolyn Rogers, Senior Clinical Nurse Specialists

Both senior clinical nurse specialists manage and develop the team, work across the organisation at a strategic level and contribute to some of our services.

Jackie Harris, Clinical Nurse Specialist

Jackie has a specific remit and expertise in breast health, benign breast conditions and family history and has developed patient information and support services within these areas as well as lecturing to healthcare professionals.

Tara Beaumont, Clinical Nurse Specialist

Tara has a specific remit and expertise in secondary breast cancer. She has a wealth of oncology experience and expertise, and she has been involved in the development and delivery of our specialist services for secondary breast cancer, as well as contributing to the training and education of healthcare professionals.

Grete Brauten-Smith, Clinical Nurse Specialist

Grete has a specific remit and expertise in younger women diagnosed with breast cancer. She advises the organisation on issues affecting this group of patients and is involved in the development and delivery of the Younger Women's Forums.

Catherine Priestley, Clinical Nurse Specialist

Catherine has a specific remit for the group services run by Breast Cancer Care and expertise in screening and primary breast cancer. She advises the organisation on issues related to primary breast cancer as well as working on our Helpline and Ask the Nurse email services.

Antonia Dean, Clinical Nurse Specialist

Antonia has responsibility for our Helpline and Ask the Nurse services and leads on developing and training the sessional staff who work on these services.

Helen Brahmbhatt, Nicole Gardiner and Marretje Miller, Breast Care Nurses

Our breast care nurses have expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer and together contribute daily to our Helpline and Ask the Nurse email service as well as addressing queries from our online discussion forums and reviewing print and online information.
