Breast Cancer Care is delighted to have been nominated as one of the choices for Smooth Radio London’s 2010 charity of the year and we need your vote!
Every year, nearly 5,000 Londoners will be told the devastating news that they have breast cancer. Being diagnosed is one of the most isolating, frightening and life-changing things that can happen to someone and it can hit anybody, your mother, your wife, your daughter, your neighbour, your work-mate, even someone like Kylie.
Breast Cancer Care is here to ensure that anyone affected by the disease in London or the South East has the support that they need, at every stage of their breast cancer, so that no one needs to go it alone through a diagnosis.
Please cast your vote now for Breast Cancer Care on the Smooth Radio London website , and enable us to be there for people when they feel at their lowest ebb; confused, lonely and overwhelmed.
Listen to Jane Hinnrichs, Breast Cancer Care’s Chair, explain why your vote is so crucial.
Our 35 years’ experience of listening to people who’ve been there means we understand the impact this devastating disease can have and we know how to respond. When a person’s breast cancer causes confusion, isolation and fear, we’re in touch with their needs and on hand with the support and information that can help. We bring people across the capital together, provide information and support, and campaign for improved standards of care. All our services are free.
Our free and confidential helpline, local events and information sessions give women the most up-to-date information and advice. Our translation services ensure that even people who do not have English as their first language can access vital support.
