You’re not on your own this holiday

Thursday, 27 December, 2012 - 12:03

You’ve tackled the turkey, munched the mince pies, cleared away the Christmas debris and it’s finally time for a sit down. But for many people the festive season can be difficult, especially if you’ve got other things on your mind.

Whether you’ve been keeping your true feelings under your hat to try to ensure everyone has the best Christmas, or the Christmas closeness has brought family tensions to the surface, our online discussion forums will be open throughout. Drop by to chat to other people going through the same thing, let off steam or raise a virtual glass of Christmas cheer to the community.

While you’re there, wish your fellow forum members best wishes for the season and offer support to those who are struggling.

If you’ve started chemotherapy in December or are due to start in January, there are forum threads just for you. Or perhaps you’ve been waiting for test results. If Christmas has highlighted family issues, you might want to post in our family, friends and partners section of the forum.

Although many services close over Christmas, our Helpline is open every day except the bank holidays on 0808 800 6000, and – of course – the forums will be here for you throughout. Our live chat service will take a break on 25 and 27 December but will be back on 2 and 3 January.

Wherever you are and whatever you’re doing over Christmas, we’ll try to be here to support you as best we can.
