During November our nurses and trained staff with experience of breast cancer answered 1,171 calls. We also saw a continued rise in the number of Ask the Nurse queries submitted via our website.

Sorry to anyone who struggled to get through to us during our recent technical difficulties.  We are glad to say that the Helpline is continuing to function normally again in the run up to Christmas.

Are you fed up with those Christmas songs yet? It’s a shame they start in August now…..this time of year can be difficult for many people – for all sorts of reasons.

They may be newly diagnosed or waiting for results. They may have lost a loved one or be looking after someone poorly at home. We receive many calls to the Helpline from people in these situations – we are able to talk to them about their concerns and sign post them onto other services. One of these is the One-to-one Support service. This is where a trained volunteer who has been in a similar situation contacts them by phone over a period of time.

If you would like more support, do contact us.

Over Christmas, our Helpline 0808 800 6000 will be closed on the bank holidays, and closed on Saturday 24th and 31st December, but otherwise we will be open as usual.  Click here to see more detail. Our website and chat rooms are available 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
